Jakeeno's Pizza & Pasta: Authentic Italian Delight in Minneapolis

This is a small neighborhood restaurant with a small bar. I went with a friend for lunch and got a medium pepperoni and sausage. The pizza was tavern style and was cooked to perfection. The sauce was sweet and tasty. Additionally, I got the spicy garlic wings— they were crispy, meaty, and tasty, with a very slight heat. Also, they have 1919 root beer on tap with free refills!

Updated review. Been going here for years. Live in the neighborhood. Has become a great neighborhood bar! Friendly staff! Excellent food! Old school pizza!! Fresh hot wings! Not fried and then refried when ordered like some places.

The service was very good,it's homely,food came out fast the sausage links tasty like ,and the veggie pizza on a thin crust,very freshly made,I enjoyed my early lunch.

My husband and I happened to drop in after an appointment in So. Mpls for some pizza. We sat at a table in the small bar area and our server, Joshua was amazing! We ordered a large Caesar salad to share and a large House Special pizza. Joshua was attentive and personable. The kind of care we hope for when dining out, but no longer expect. The food was fresh and delicious. My husband was really impressed with the pizza dough/crust. The other patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves and the whole vibe was just right. We are looking for another excuse to make the 20 minute drive to dine-in again! Can't say enough wonderful things about our experience.

Best pizza in Minneapolis HANDS DOWN, or up lol either way they are winning in my book! Did you know there is a bar attached to this restaurant? Yup!!! Same building and under the same roof!!! I have also gone here to play bingo!! This is a great place to relax, eat, drink , and have fun!!!

Love this place! Great pizza and love that it is family owned! The new expansion and bar service is a great addition. I ordered Lasagna and Spaghetti with Meatballs to Go. Since I moved out of the area.

First time visiting Jakeeno’s and it was really good. Their pizza feels nostalgic for the thin crust of an old school pizzeria. The pizza (beef onion Canadian bacon) was delicious and only needed a touch of salt, and the Caesar’s salad was solid and a perfect side dish. I hope to one day dine-in and try more of their pasta menu. Will definitely go back!

We order pizza for a company lunch about once a month. Lately we have gotten our pies from here. 10 different pizzas always completed at the requested time and still warm and fresh when I pick them up. While I personally would like to give the staff more notice of a big order, my purchasing team generally lets me know around 8am day of. Staff has been friendly and accomodating on every occasion. My family and I have also recently come for the Monday night AYCE spaghetti. While the noodles were a little more al dente that I prefer, still good flavor and tasted even better next day (we only got one bowl each so were able to take left overs). Thank you, Jakeeno's, for being a south side staple.
